MIS - IMPLEMENTATION

The Government of Jamaica has received a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to assist in financing the Information and Communications Technology Project (ICT).  The ICT project is being implemented through the Ministry of Industry Technology Energy and Commerce (MITEC).

The objectives of the ICT project are structured in four components:

  • Strengthening of MITEC to enable it to play a leading role in increasing Jamaica’s e-readiness
  • Support for the increased use of ICT in the public sector
  • Support for expanding internet access in low-income communities

The MITEC Project Execution Unit requires the implementation of a Management Information System (MIS) to track the results of the project.  The system is to be redeveloped and related documentation and training completed. The PEU therefore invites proposals from the Consultant to redevelop the MIS as well as to provide the relevant documentation and training.

Applications for consultancy service of the Web Developer should come from IDB member countries.
